Initially influenced by his bluegrass playing grandfather, Chuck Grantz began learning the guitar around age 14.

He has been involved with various original and cover bands in the greater Cincinnati region over the years prior to joining forces with Brass Owl.

While his favorite genre of music is Rock/Metal, he enjoys a variety of different styles and cites the late Randy Rhoads as his favorite guitarist.
