Born and raised just outside of Oxford Ohio, Lonnie began playing drums in 5th grade band. At age 12, he received his first drumkit. At age 14, he was already playing regular gigs in a band with his father, who played country and rock from the 50s and 60s.  At age 19, he had recorded a full length album and was gigging with the all original funk/rock band Funtime Freddy. 

In the years that followed, he’s played and recorded with multiple artists playing various styles including rock, funk, jazz, metal country and more.  

Lonnie’s unique style combines all of these elements in a creative, expressive way with a focus on groove, a deep pocket and an arsenal of chops that he pulls out at the right moments in an exciting and entertaining way.
